About me: errr.. normal (yet unique), easy going (but certainly not easy), a little on the reserved side (but am totally open in people ask), like the simple things in life (but that doesn't make me simple), love travelling (but trying not to do too much), kind of well educated (but can't spell).

I returned in April after travelling for 5 months around New Zealand and Nepal with my son (now 6). I am now looking to settle down again in England and at the moment I'm trying out Totnes. Before that I was in Glastonbury for 7 years which I loved (so will be visiting there requently) although Cornwall has a pretty big draw for me too as that is where my family is from but perhaps too far away from my son's father (Glastonbury) and my roots (Surrey hills). I studied anthropology and religions, specialling in the Himalayan region at university and there are times when I feel half himalayan myself. I'm very into green issues and the Transition Movement and would love to live off-grid someday soon, possibly in an intentional community. I don't watch TV but love movies, all music (I play the harp) and dancing (5 rhythems). Being in the woods and/or mountains makes me feel alive and I have a need to grow things, especially food but like foraging, and cooking. I also love camping, walking, travelling, experiencing different cultures and being part of a local community.

What I'm looking for: not sure yet, hoping I know when I find it. Seem to know more of what I don't want than what I do. Don't want to spend my time in the pub (unless there's some live music or an interesting talk) or too many nights in watching dvds (I can do that on my own thanks), have no interet in money, cars, TV, football or being impressed. I like stimulating conversation, cooking and good food, being outside and meeting new and interesting broadminded people so something along those lines would be worth booking a babysitter for! I may have somewhat alternative views but I'm in no way some sort of hippy bum. I worked for many years for charities in London and Somerset and used to even wear a suit! I now run my own buisness and keep involved in campaigns and local events. I'm also to be found in a place were you may fish or a book with faces. A bit of a Wildman - Gurung.
